(KPL/Prensa Latina) The 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance opened in this city on Saturday, focused on the innovations and challenges of this technology.
Organizers informed that some 800 companies are participating with 3,000 cutting-edge exhibits, including approximately 40 large Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, 50 AI-powered devices, 60 intelligent robots, and more than 100 major global or China debuts.
Under the theme “Intelligent Era, One Planet, One Destiny,” the event is structured into five sections: forums, exhibitions, competitions, practical experiences, and innovation acceleration.
The 2025 edition features a new structure with an opening ceremony and leading forum, a high-level meeting on global AI governance, two plenary sessions on science and security, more than 10 sectoral forums, and multiple environmental forums.
The event also addresses ten strategic areas: AI infrastructure, scientific intelligence, smart terminals, AI-driven advanced industrialization, AI in finance, among others.
Exhibitors stated that the conference expanded its international reach, with records in the number of exhibitors, surface area, and products presented for the first time.
