(KPL) On April 9, 2025, provincial Party and government leaders of Savannakhet, led by Governor Bounchome Oubonpaseuth, paid tribute to Comrade Nouhak Phoumsavanh by laying floral baskets at his statue, marking the 111th anniversary of his birth (April 9, 1914–2025).
The ceremony honored his lifelong dedication to the nation and the revolution, expressing deep respect, gratitude, and admiration for his exemplary contributions.

Comrade Nouhak Phoumsavanh was one of the founding leaders of Laos’ revolutionary movement, playing a pivotal role in establishing the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and the country’s new political system. Revered by the Lao people, he devoted his life to the struggles for national liberation, defense, and development, guiding the nation toward progress and prosperity.
The floral basket-laying ceremony brought together 14 delegations, including representatives from the Provincial Administration Office, National Assembly Constituency 13, the Provincial People’s Council, the Military Command, the Public Security Command, the Central Inspection Authority, and provincial mass organizations.
