The memorandum was signed by Mr. Khamphan Pheuyavong, Head of the Propaganda and Training Board and Chairman of the Party Central Committee Theory Council, and Suansavanh Viyaket, Minister of Culture and Tourism.

The event was attended by senior officials from media agencies and relevant government departments.

The newly transferred media structure comprises one department and four first-level technical units, totaling 42 divisions. These include six divisions under the Department of Mass Media, eight under the Lao News Agency, nine under Lao National Radio, 13 under Lao National Television, and six under the Lao Press in Foreign Languages.

The number of these divisions will be subject to revision based on recommendations from the organizational restructuring committee.
