Leaders’ Families Lay Wreaths in Honour of General Khamtay Siphandone

KPL Families of current and former Party and government leaders have laid wreaths and signed the condolence book in memory of the late General Khamtay Siphandone, former President of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and former State President, who passed away on April 2, 2025.

(KPL) Families of current and former Party and government leaders have laid wreaths and signed the condolence book in memory of the late General Khamtay Siphandone, former President of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and former State President, who passed away on April 2, 2025. 


On April 3, the family of Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee and State President, laid a wreath in honour of General Khamtay. 

Today, April 4, the families of Comrade Bounthong Chitmany, Vice President; Comrade Pany Yathortou, Politburo member and Vice President; Comrade Sinlavong Khouthphaythoune, President of the Lao Front for National Development; Comrade Inlavanh Keobounphan, Vice President of the Lao Front for National Development; Comrade Khampheng Saysompheng, Governor of Huaphan Province; Comrade Bouasone Bouphavanh, former Prime Minister; and the family of Comrade Chansy Phosikham, former Head of the Party Central Organisation Committee, also paid their respects. 

This wreath-laying ceremony was to express gratitude and respect for the significant contributions of the late General Khamtay Siphandone, who played a pivotal role in the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party. 

He was a leader in implementing the principle-based comprehensive renewal policy of the Party, an outstanding leader of the Party and nation, and contributed immensely to the revolution, national development, and improving the well-being of the Lao people, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of the Lao people.
