(KPL/Prensa Latina) The 15th International Convention on Environment and Development will be held at the Havana-based Conference Center from July 1 to 5, with the expected participation of professionals from a dozen countries.
The organizers announced that nearly 700 Cuban specialists and more than 70 foreigners from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Spain, the United States, Haiti, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, and Suriname will attend the Convention.
The event is convened by the Environmental Agency of the Cuban Science, Technology, and Environment Ministry (CITMA), along with other entities and organizations.
Researchers, authorities, educators, specialists, managers, entrepreneurs, professionals, producers, and representatives related to the sector will gather in Havana, committed to the sustainability of the planet, under the slogan “More awareness for a healthy and balanced environment,” and with in-person and online modalities.
The major event will include the 15th Congress on Environmental Education for Sustainable Development, the 14th Congress on Protected Areas, the 12th Congress on Environmental Management, and the 10th Congress on Ecosystem and Biodiversity Management.
Also included are the 9th Congress on Climate Change, the 7th Congress on Environmental Policy, Justice, and Law, the 3rd Congress on Geospatial Sciences and Disaster Risk, and the 6th Colloquium on Transportation and the Environment.
As in previous editions, the Convention will include an Associated Exhibition Fair for Environmental Technologies, Projects, and Experiences.
