(KPL) The "New Perspective: China-Laos Young Artists Exchange Exhibition" officially opened in Vientiane, drawing more than 100 attendees from the cultural and tourism sectors of both nations. The exhibition marks a vibrant new chapter in artistic collaboration between China and Laos.

The "New Perspective" exhibition will be on display through August 15, inviting the public to explore the evolving artistic expressions of youth from both countries.

Jointly organized by the China Cultural Center in Laos and the China Center of International Cultural Exchange and Tourism Promotion, the exhibition features 48 artworks by emerging artists from both countries. Among the highlights are 13 new pieces created by Chinese artists during recent travels in Laos, alongside six standout works by talented Lao artists.

The exhibition offers a unique window into the creative dialogue between the two cultures—highlighting Chinese artists' interpretations and appreciation of Lao traditions, landscapes, and life, while giving Lao artists a platform to share their perspectives with Chinese audiences.

In remarks at Sunday’s opening ceremony, Mr. Khamsouk Keovongxay, Director General of the Lao National Institute of Fine Arts, commended the initiative for strengthening cultural exchange under the Belt and Road Initiative. He emphasized the exhibition’s role in fostering deeper mutual understanding and enduring connections between the next generation of artists.

As a gesture of friendship and artistic diplomacy, Chinese artists presented two symbolic paintings to Lao representatives during the event.
