KPL (KPL/Prensa Latina) The IX Russia-Nicaragua International Pharmaceutical Congress continues exchanging experiences and technologies between scientists from different countries such as China, India, Cuba, and El Salvador.

(KPL/Prensa Latina)  The IX Russia-Nicaragua International Pharmaceutical Congress continues exchanging experiences and technologies between scientists from different countries such as China, India, Cuba, and El Salvador. 

The conclave will address topics related to the development, technology transfer, and manufacturing and distribution of pharmaceutical products in Latin America.

The forum, which concludes this Thursday, features more than 30 speakers and is held under the theme “Strengthening National Biotechnology Capacity: Connecting Strategies and Technologies.”

Delegates participated in important presentations on Wednesday, including one related to the New Concept of the Dengue Vaccine, presented by Sergey Arakelov, head of the advisory office of the St. Petersburg Institute of Vaccines and Serums. They also discussed innovative platform solutions in the development and manufacturing of biologics, with a lecture given by Sevastian Rabdano, head of R&D at the St. Petersburg Institute of Vaccines and Serums.

Other topics discussed included the strengthening of regulatory systems and their impact on local drug production and the outlook for the Pan American Health Organization.

According to the agenda, the panels on Nicaragua as a technological and logistics hub for access to pharmaceutical markets in Latin America and the Caribbean and the biopharmaceutical industry of the future will be discussed.

On the opening day of the event this Wednesday, Veronica Skvortsova, head of the Russian Federal Medical-Biological Agency, advocated for continued scientific cooperation with Nicaragua so that both nations can jointly develop science for the benefit of their peoples.

Skvortsova wished the congress participants success and emphasized that the task of all progressive humanity is the development of biotechnolfor the benefit of the people and that this congress contributes to the solution of that task both in Nicaragua and throughout Latin America.
