Lao Ambassador Presents Credentials to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian

KPL On Aug 10, newly appointed Lao Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Bounmy Vanmany, presented his credentials to President Masoud Pezeshkian at the Office of the President in Tehran, officially assuming his role as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Iran.

(KPL) On Aug 10, newly appointed Lao Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Bounmy Vanmany, presented his credentials to President Masoud Pezeshkian at the Office of the President in Tehran, officially assuming his role as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Iran.

The Lao Embassy to Iran is based in New Delhi, India.

On this occasion, the Iranian president expressed his warm welcome and congratulations to Mr. Bounmy Vanmany on his appointment as the new Ambassador of the Lao PDR to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He expressed confidence that the ambassador would further strengthen and enhance the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in the future.

Additionally, President Pezeshkian conveyed his greetings, and best wishes to President Thongloun Sisoulith of the Lao PDR, the Lao government, and the Lao people.

Ambassador Bounmy expressed his gratitude and took the opportunity to convey warm greetings and best wishes from the Lao President to the Iranian President, as well as to the government and people of Iran.

Furthermore, the ambassador extended an official invitation from President Thongloun to the President of Iran to visit Laos at his convenience.

Both the President and the Ambassador highly commended the friendly relations between the Lao PDR and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which have flourished since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1967.

Earlier, Ambassador Bounmy Vanmany paid a courtesy call on Mr. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, to present a copy of his credentials, introduce himself, and exchange views on enhancing bilateral relations.

After presenting his credentials, the ambassador met with Mr. Ali Asghar Mohammadi, Director-General of the East Asia and Oceania Department at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, to discuss ways to further strengthen Lao-Iran relations, particularly in ministerial cooperation and trade.
