Welcoming the delegation, Prime Minister Sonexay emphasized the significance of the meeting for Laos, noting that it provides an important opportunity to review progress on the implementation of the 9th Five-year National Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2024, outline directions for 2025, and discuss the draft 10th Five-year National Socio-Economic Development Plan (2026-2030).

Discussions further addressed consultations within the dialogue group on resolving economic, financial, and human resource development challenges in Laos.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed cooperation for development, including the results of the fourth round of the Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation Survey and an assessment of the implementation of the Vientiane Declaration on Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation.
