KPL Vientiane will host the 12th Lao National Games from November 15 to 25, 2025, bringing together the country’s best athletes to compete in more than 30 sports. The event will be staged at major venues in Vientiane and selected nearby provinces, highlighting both sporting excellence and national unity.


(KPL) Vientiane will host the 12th Lao National Games from November 15 to 25, 2025, bringing together the country’s best athletes to compete in more than 30 sports. The event will be staged at major venues in Vientiane and selected nearby provinces, highlighting both sporting excellence and national unity.

The opening ceremony will take place on November 15 at the Lao National Stadium, marking the official start of the games. Competitions will be held across various disciplines, including men’s football from November 15 to 24 at the Lao National Stadium and other designated venues. Basketball (3x3 and 5x5 formats) will run from November 16 to 23 at the Indoor Basketball Court. Athletics will take place from November 19 to 23 at the Lao National Stadium, while swimming events will be contested from November 19 to 23 at the Outdoor Swimming Pool.

The closing ceremony is scheduled for November 25, 2025 at the Lao National Stadium. Organizers have confirmed that all venues are fully prepared and equipped with necessary facilities. Security personnel, medical teams, and trained volunteers will be deployed to ensure the smooth and safe running of the event.

The Lao National Games aim to foster athletic development, encourage youth participation in sports, and promote cultural pride throughout the nation.
