(KPL) Under an exchange program organized by the China International Press Communication Centre (CIPCC), over 70 foreign media representatives from Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Eurasia visited on April 17 Shandong Sports and Fitness Centre in Beijing.
During the visit, the delegation participated in sports activities such as soccer, tennis, and basketball, gaining hands-on experience in China’s sports culture.

The journalists also toured Xinzhuang Village, a model community well-known for its eco-tourism initiatives, environmental conservation efforts, and promotion of local handicrafts, agriculture, and cultural heritage.
A highlight included a visit to a strawberry farm, where they engaged in strawberry-picking activities, showcasing the village’s integration of agriculture and tourism.
Xinzhuang’s development aligns with a specialized 20-point rural revitalization policy aimed at transforming the village into a hub for eco-agricultural tourism.

Through comprehensive planning, the village has established industries combining tourism, hospitality services (restaurants and homestays), and agritourism activities like fruit-picking. The initiative seeks to position Xinzhuang as a “Nature Classroom”—a pristine, picturesque destination where visitors can experience sustainable rural lifestyles.
Geographically, Xinzhuang Village spans 174 hectares and is located 22 kilometers east of Beijing’s Changping District, with a population of over 1,800 residents.
