According to the ministry's report on Wednesday, the highest price rise was recorded in the housing, water, electricity and gas category, which stood at 15.3 percent.
This was followed by the cost of goods and services at 14.9 percent, the medical care and medicines category at 13.6 percent, and the alcohol and tobacco category at 7.9 percent.
The government has stepped up efforts to curb inflation by implementing tighter monetary policies. Authorities are also pushing to build an independent and self-reliant economy, placing strong emphasis on increasing revenue, controlling public expenditure, and enhancing financial management.
In addition, the central bank announced to lower its 7-day basic interest rate. The measure is intended to ease financial pressure on businesses and households, and stimulate domestic spending and investment to support economic growth.
