(KPL) The Lao Food Festival 2025 will be held from January 22 to 26 at Chao Anouvong Park in Vientiane.

Open to the public, the festival will feature over 180 booths showcasing traditional Lao cuisine, modern fusion dishes, and international foods.

Of these, 160 stalls will highlight signature dishes from various provinces and participating sponsors, while 20 stalls will display handicrafts and agricultural products.

Mrs. Chanthalone Vongsay, President of the Lao Businesswomen's Association and Chair of the Lao Food Festival 2025 Organizing Committee, announced on January 6 that this year’s festival will mark the 20th anniversary of the Lao Food Festival, organized by the association. The event will also coincide with the association’s 4th General Assembly in 2025.

The festival aims to preserve and promote Lao culinary culture while embracing the digital era by enabling online sales. This initiative seeks to boost income for Lao women entrepreneurs in the food sector, fostering unity and strengthening the association’s members and female entrepreneurs across Laos and abroad.

Additionally, the event aims to establish a distinct Lao food brand, introduce Lao cuisine to international markets, and enhance its recognition at home and globally. The festival will serve as a platform to promote Lao food as clean, safe, and widely accepted.

The 20th Lao Food Festival will be held under the slogan: "20 Years of the Lao Food Festival – Thriving Towards Global Reach." The event is expected to serve as a major national-level market, providing Lao food businesses with broader exposure and new opportunities.
