(KPL) Lt. Gen. Souvone Leuangbounmy, Vice President of the National Assembly, accompanied by his delegation, today paid a courtesy visit to Khammuan Governor Vanxay Phongsavanh.
NA’s vice president is on a working visit to the central province to monitor and inspect the implementation of mining and other development projects that have had impacts on local livelihoods and the environment, as well as to review the province’s efforts in addressing national financial and economic challenges.
The Vice President of the National Assembly is expected to present his findings and recommendations to the National Assembly’s Standing Committee at its upcoming meeting.
On this occasion, Governor Vanxay Phongsavanh extended a warm welcome and briefed the delegation on the implementation of Khammuan’s socio-economic development plan, ongoing restructuring of provincial administrative departments, and preparations for the upcoming 11th Congress of the Khammuan Provincial Party Cell to be held in the near future.
