The Lao Women’s Union, the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union (LPRYU), the LPRYU’s Disaster Prevention and Response Committee, and the Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association (LNYEA) joined forces with the Vientiane Province Youth Committee, local authorities, and village leaders to deliver emergency relief to flood-affected communities in Vangvieng and Kasy districts on August 11–12, 2025.

(KPL)The Lao Women’s Union, the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union (LPRYU), the LPRYU’s Disaster Prevention and Response Committee, and the Lao National Young Entrepreneurs Association (LNYEA) joined forces with the Vientiane Province Youth Committee, local authorities, and village leaders to deliver emergency relief to flood-affected communities in Vangvieng and Kasy districts on August 11–12, 2025. The delegation was led by Mr. Thongly Sisoulith, Deputy Head of the LPRYU’s Executive Committee, accompanied by other senior officials.
The relief mission provided essential supplies, including eggs, canned fish, dry food, children’s toys, and cash assistance, to families impacted by Typhoon Vipha. Contributions totaling more than 132.9 million kip were raised through donations from young entrepreneurs affiliated with the LNYEA. A medical team from Mittaphab Hospital (150-bed) also offered free health check-ups and distributed medicine to residents.
In Kasy district, floods affected nine villages comprising 100 households, while Vangvieng district reported damage in three villages affecting 170 households.
During the visit, Mr. Thongly Sisoulith conveyed solidarity with the victims and encouraged communities to remain resilient as they work to recover from the disaster.
